BW Controls Intrinsically safe, Fail-safe Relay Module - The BW 5510 is specifically designed to provide an intrinsically safe and economical means of detecting and controlling a wide variety of processing variables in explosive environments. The sensing circuit is designed to prevent releasing sufficient energy to ignite most flammable gases or liquids.  The B/W Series 5510 uses two electro-mechanical output relays, one being energized when the supply power is connected to the B/W 5510 and the other is energized when the sensing circuit is completed.  This allows load circuits to open or close on power loss to the 5510 module as needed.  A short time delay is used to eliminate nuisance tripping due to liquid wave action or other quickly cycling inputs. Suitable for use in refineries, grain elevators and sewage treatment facilities - to mention just a few of the many areas for safe, practical installation.  The unit is UL listed for Class I, II and III; Division 1; Groups A, B, C, D, E, F & G hazardous areas.

BW Controls Motogard Over-Temperature Protection Systems provide immediate overheating protection for: motors, equipment enclosures, semiconductor heat sinks, sleeve bearings, and other related machinery. All Motogard systems fully conform to the NEC requirements for integral motor thermal protection. Using Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) thermistors embedded in or in contact with the surface, the Motogard system is able to continually sense when the equipment exceeds the pre-selected temperature limits.
